The medicinal plants contain so many chemical compounds which has toxic effect on human Erythrocytes(RBCs).In the present study, the comparative In vitro haemolytic activity of different extracts of Swertia chirata has been evaluated. The Methanolic (SCM), Ethylacetate (SCE), chloroform (SCC) & Benzene (SCB)extract was assayed on human Erythrocytes with different concentration. The different extracts of Swertia chirata was tested on human erythrocytes for hemolytic activity with exposure of increasing concentration . The exposed concentration was 0- 300 µg. The result shows that the different extracts of Swertia chirata has no effect on human erythrocytes (RBCs)at 0- 300 µg.

The Methanolic (AVM), Ethylacetate (AVE), Chloroform (AVC) & Benzene (AVB) was assayed on human Erythrocytes with different concentration. The various extracts of Aloeverawas tested on human Erythrocytes for haemolytic activity with expose of increasing concentration of Aloevera. The expose concentration was 0- 600pg. The result show that Aloevera has no haemolytic activity at these concentrations.
In the present study, anti-leishmanial activity of aqueous extract of Tinospora cordifolia has been evaluated. The aqueous extract of Tinospora cordifolia inhibit the growth of promastigote form of Leishmania donovani . Berber in present in Tinospora cordifolia may be responsible for inhibition of growth of promastigote of Leishmania donovani. The aqueous extract of Tinospora cordifolia showed anti leishmanial activity and it was found that LC„ of 300 pg/ml i-e 50% inhibition at 300 pg/ml& LC. of 400 pg/ml i-e. complete inhibition at400 pg/ml.
Infections due to protozoa of the genus Leishmania are a major worldwide health problem, with high endemicity in developing countries: Visceral Leishmaniasis commonly called Kala-azar which is caused by an intracellular parasite Leishmania donovani. This disease may be fatal when left untreated. In the present study, in vitro anti- leishmanial activity of Ethyl acetate, Methanolic, Benzene and Chloroform extracts of Swertia chirata have been evaluated. Among those extracts Methanolic extracts of Swertia chirata shows effective antileishmanial activity against promastigote form of Leishmania donovani. Amarogentin present in Swertia chirata which may be responsible for inhibiting the growth of parasite. It was found that LC =150 50 µg/ml i.e. 50% inhibition at 100 µg/ml and LC =200µg/ml for complete inhibition is required to inhibit the 90 growth of Leishmania donovani..
