|Authors : PREETI TRIPATHI|
Zygogramma bicolorata Pallister, Mexican beetle is a well established biocontrol agent of Parthenium hysterophorus since 1997 in India. The life cycle of Mexican beetle is normally developed in monsoon season when Parthenium grass is flourished but it under gone into diapause during unfavourable climatic condition. In the present study diapause of Zygogramma bicolorata in situ and ex situ conditions was studied during unfavourable climatic situation from 2017-18. December-February and April-June months were suitable for diapause condition because in Chitrakoot region these months showed extreme cold and hot situations.
